Abran William Acosta February 21, 1935-May 29, 2017 Born in Trinidad, CO, to Abenicio and Abenicia Acosta, “Bill” was the second of six children. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Air Force and served our country in the Korean War. He retired after 39 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve and California Air National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice, his two children, Robin and Grant, his daughter in-law, Alejandra as well as his five grandchildren. Bill loved to travel, fish and backpack, but everything paled in comparison to his love and devotion to his family and spending time with them always made him happiest. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations instead be made to the Lutheran Braille Ministry, a ministry that Bill supported for many years. He will be interred at the National Cemetery in Riverside, California with full military honors on June 23 at 12:15 p.m. All are welcome.
