Albert “Fred” Fred Hammons

Albert “Fred” Hammons, 93 Years, of Corona, California, passed away April 14, 2018 in Corona, California. He was born January 19, 1925 in Hartwell, Arkansas; son of James Daniel Hammons and Martha Jane Turner-Hammons. Fred served his country proudly in the United Stated Army from July 23, 1943 to February 23, 1946 where he received WWII Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, AP Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars and one Bronze Arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and one Bronze Star. Fred worked as a Supervisor for 35 years in an Aluminum Company and in Mobile Modular. He was a very humble man giving of himself in all aspects of his life. He served food at the shelter for many years here in Corona. Surviving are Son, Larry Hammons of Arroyo Grande, CA, Son, Leslie Hammons of Corona,CA, Daughter, Linda Morgan of Cloverdale, IN, Grandchildren, 7, Great-Grandchildren, 15. Fred was preceded in death by Father, James Daniel Hammons, Mother, Martha Jane Hammons, Son, Lucas Hammons, Wife, Alta Hammons. Services will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary, April 28, 2018 at 10:00 am with Steve Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Memorial Park, Riverside, California.
