Alejandro Lievanos Jr.

Alex Lievanos Jr., 88, passed away peacefully at his home on March 10, 2026. He was born on February 27, 1938 in the community of El Modena, in the city of Orange, CA. Alex attended San Diego State University, then Point Loma College, achieving a master’s degree in criminal justice Alex spent most of his career as a probation officer working with juveniles, later working for the Federal Government, and finally teaching at his Alma Mater, Point Loma College. 

Alex was an avid long-distance runner, devoted golfer, and gardener. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, making tamales during the holidays, going to Taco Tuesday with friends and sharing wisdom and laughter with his grandchildren. 

He is survived by his loving wife Stella Lievanos, and children: Lesli and Vince Ancona, Alex and Gaylene Lievanos, Ritamarie Beeman, Robert and Constance Martinez, as well as his grandchildren: Nicolas and Karin Ancona, Emily and Ellie Ancona-Blakeslee, Rachel and Garrett Bluish, Alex Lievanos, and Brett Martinez.
