Alfonso Delgado

July 20, 1965 — February 24, 2025

Alfonso Delgado Jr. was born July 20, 1965 in Michoacán, Mexico. He grew up in Santa Ana, California, and played baseball and tennis in his youth. He met the love of his life, Raquel while attending Santa Ana College. He then attended UCLA and Cal State Long Beach, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. Alfonso earned a master’s degree from the University of Texas, Austin, and held many leadership positions over a decades-long retail management, logistics, and transportation career. He was a hard worker and a dedicated leader.

As dedicated as he was to his work, Alfonso was even more dedicated to his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, reading, drinking coffee, attending concerts, and a good meal with his loved ones. He fought cancer for several years, displaying strength and bravery to the very end. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 24, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso C. Delgado and Celina Delgado. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Raquel, his son Alfonso III, daughter Khassaundra, son-in-law Brian and granddaughter Olivia, who love him dearly. He is also survived by siblings Maria, Celina, Eliseo, Rosalia, and Xochitl, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He is forever in our hearts.
