It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alicia Kolson- Yeamans. Early in the morning of January 25th, Alicia went to be with the Lord. She died peacefully in her home. Alicia is survived by her father, Ken Kolson; husband, Mike Yeamans; daughter, Samantha Erdmann (Jason); grandsons, Luke and Leo Erdmann; stepchildren: Todd Yeamans, Sara Marro, (Rob); granddaughter, Ryan Marro; and sister, Denise Maloney.
Alicia had a huge heart. She loved hard, and celebrated the little things. She shined brightly from a young age, performing in local talent shows, appearing in commercials, and competing on her high school drill team. She attended Cal State Fullerton which was only cut short by the surprising, but wonderful gift of her daughter, Samantha. Samantha and Alicia shared many trips to the nail salon, movie theaters, and all across the country for softball. Alicia enjoyed watching Sam play softball all throughout her life up through college where her daughter met a new love, her husband Jason. Alicia adored Jason and knew her daughter was in good hands. In addition to her devotion as a mother to Sam, she was a wife and stepmom. Alicia and Mike had many wonderful memories and years together. They loved to have weekly date nights where they would get together with good friends and play card games. They traveled the world and got to scuba dive in some of the clearest oceans. Along with amazing memories, Mike brought Todd and Sara - her step children whom she loved very much - into Alicia’s life. She loved keeping up with her stepchildren any time they came over to visit. They were a part of every family tradition including going to new movies on Christmas morning, nail salon dates, and bonding over new sci-fi films and shows. The newest role she was most excited to hold was grandma. She had a special love for her grandchildren and was very excited to watch them grow up.
During this time of immense grief, we take heart in the fact that Alicia is at peace with her Lord and Savior. We thank her for the amazing years she gave us as a daughter, mother, step mother, sister, and wife.
