Anastacia Rosalia Quintana, 97, of Orange, California, died June 23, 2014 at her daughters home in Corona. She was born April 27, 1917 in Orange, CA, daughter of Remedios and Carmen Mares. Anastacia worked on the airplanes during WWII and was known as a “Rosie the Riveter” She was active in her community. She was a part of the Orange County Urban Development Counsel which established things from sidewalks to places of business. Anastacia was one of the 1st women members of the San Juan Capistrano Indian Council and worked closely with Chief Lobo. Anastacia was a member of La Purisima Catholic Church and worked as a CCD Teacher for over 68 years. Surviving are daughter, Mary Harris, grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Harris, Amy Quintana, Shaundra Smith and daughter in law, Janet Quintana. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, 06/25 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Thomas Miller Mortuary, 1118 E. 6th Street, Corona, with Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. Mass will be held on Thursday, 06/26 at 11:00 AM at La Purisima Catholic Church 11712 N. Hewes St, Orange, CA 92869 with interment at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
