Andrea Eliza Olivas was born at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina on June 15, 1990 at 10:55 am. She weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 inches long. She made an impact in her family's lives almost immediately. Andrea was always a free spirit who, once she made up her mind she, would not be deterred. Andrea was always there for the family, whether it was a cousin's baby's birthday in Escondido, a wedding for her cousin in Arizona or a Thanksgiving meal at her aunt's home. Andrea would always find a way to attend and, most times, convince her mom she had to be there also. Andrea loved cheerleading for her brother's football team, which led to her joining the junior high school drill team, then later participating in the high school dance team and even becoming the school mascot. Andrea was a person with many interests, a whole lot of them unrelated, which led to her having a very eclectic group of friends. She felt comfortable with the guys in her Auto Shop classes, the kids from her AP classes, her dance team and the ASB board that she was a part of. She went on to attend and graduate from San Jose State with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. This is where she developed her love for the Formula SAE cars, thermodynamics and motorcycles; this led to a whole new group of friends. After graduating, Andrea moved home and went to "temporarily" work in the family business. She moved on and accepted a role at an electric bus manufacturer, with the thought of advancing to become an engineer for them. She was well on her way. Andrea was passionate about friends and family and would always try to pull each of the groups together, yet separately, many of whom had not met one another. This allowed her to remain focused in whatever she was passionate about with each of them. Andrea was very in tune with the people around her and their emotional state. She was one to reach out to any of her friends and take on the burden of helping them through any of their problems, sometimes to her own detriment. It was apparent how important is was to her that her friends were taken care of. Not necessarily in this order, she loved attending music festivals, riding her motorcycle, spending time with her family, especially her nephew and her mom, her dogs, her friends, going to the cabin, going traveling and, at times, even spending some time alone. Andrea was a complex person with simple tastes. Andrea may have left us at a young physical age, but she was wise beyond her years yet still was a kid at heart. Andrea passed away on July 7, 2019 doing what she enjoyed, riding her motorcycle with friends from her motorcycle riding group. She had spent the weekend with friends at a place she loved, the cabin in Crestline. She was on her way home to attend church with her mom and cousin Erika. If it was her time, it couldn't have better than that. Service Thomas Miller Mortuary 1118 East Sixth Street Corona, CA 92879 (951) 737-3244 | Saturday 7/20, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
