Angeline Mena

November 20, 1930 — January 19, 2019

Angeline (Angie) Mena was a strong woman. Born in Urbana, Illinois in 1920 she was the eldest child of George and Argero Tsevelekos. Angie contracted polio at a time when it was rampant. She not only survived the effects of this disease, she out-lived many polio survivors. she was also victorious from bouts of cancer. It is fair to say that she was a strong woman and a fighter. While attending the University of Illinois, Champaign, she met the love of her life, Henry Mena. They married in 1950 and had 4 children. Angie and Henry lived in Pleasant Hill, California for over 50 years. They were married for 67 years before Henry passed away on 2018. Angie loved gardening and summer was her favorite time of year.
