Anne Cottrell Humphreys

Anne Cottrell Humpherys (1962-2018): Anne Humpherys passed away Sunday May 27, 2018 in Jurupa Valley, California at the age of 56. Raised in Riverside, California, she attended Riverside Poly High School where she was an excellent student. She graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1986 where she met the love of her life, Brett Humpherys. They were married in the Los Angeles, California LDS Temple in 1982. Anne was a gifted musician who played piano and organ for many church services and events. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served in many church callings including young women's camp youth coordinator, camp director, organist, primary pianist, Sunday school teacher, cub scout leader, and many others. Anne recently attended graduate school at California Baptist University to pursue her long-held dream of helping others through marriage and family counseling, earning a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2015. An Associate Marriage Family Therapist with LDS Family Services she was only a few months away from earning her license. Above all, Anne's pride and joy, and greatest legacy, is her four wonderful children: Kellianne (Josh) Boyd, Caitlin (Luke) Lehman, Cody (Brooke), and Alex and five amazing grandchildren: Emily, Hannah, Avery, Aiden, and Riley. Anne will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held Friday June 8, 2018 at the LDS Church at 5950 Serendipity RD, Jurupa Valley, CA. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. with services starting at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside, CA.
