Armida “Tiny” Contreras

January 26, 1942 — January 19, 2021

Armida "Tiny" Contreras 78 of Corona California, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2021 Tiny was born January 26, 1942 in Corona, the daughter of Joe Verduzco and Adela Martinez. She was the youngest of 11 siblings. She attended Corona High School where she met and fell in love with Gilbert "Negro" Contreras, the love of her life. On October 15, 1960 She married Gilbert Contreras and had a beautiful life with him till his passing on December 12, 2010. Tiny is survived by her son's Gilbert and Ronald Contreras, her grandson's Ronald, Ruben and RayRay Contreras as well as her great grandkids Leiah, Raylene, Marcus, Roxie, Jaxon and Rueben Tiny flourished in the city of Corona working as a bus driver for Laidlaw with Corona Norco Unified School District for over 25 years. Tiny's good humor and loving personality touched many people on her bus routes and in her personal life. She was very happy to attend both her grandson's wedding's in 2015 & 2019 and it brought her great joy to introduce daughter's in-law Krystal Marquecho and Raquel Herrera into the Contreras family. Tiny enjoyed long drives and popping in on her family and friends for visits. She loved to travel with her family and friends especially to Las Vegas where she enjoyed walking around looking at the sites in between hitting the slot machines. Tiny also enjoyed swimming and long walks at the mall or park. She loved being able to spend her days with her great grandkids picking them up and dropping them off at school, taking them to McDonalds and hosting sleepovers with them. But what Tiny really enjoyed was cooking and taking care of her family. She loved when they would all gather for laughs around the table (which there was much of), especially for Christmas Eve tamale making. Tiny brought joy to everyone she met. She was bubbly, silly and positively beautiful inside and out and will forever be missed.
