Arthur (Art) Salgado, 93, of Corona, passed away December 17, 2020. Born August 6, 1927 in Corona, California to Bernabe and Eva Salgado. His predeceased siblings are, Edward Salgado, Jenny Salgado, Eloise Rodarte, and Rose Verdusco. Arthur grew up at the Call Ranch in Corona until joining the Air Service in 1948. He traveled to many parts of the world as a Supply Service/ Warehouse Attendant Supervisor. During his 20 years with the Air Force, Arthur has been stationed abroad as well in the states. He was in England for five years, Germany two years and France for one year and then returning to the states for the remainder of his twenty years. In 1968 he retired from the U.S. Air Force as Staff Sergeant E5, and began working for GTE/ Verizon and retired after 21 years of service. Throughout his life he enjoyed going hunting, bowling, fishing, painting, golfing, gardening and going to the casino and working on his puzzles. He was able to continue his hobbies until the end. Arthur was always a happy person, who would light up the room whenever he entered. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Emily, daughter Sandra, son Artie, daughter in law Pamela Salgado and two grandsons, Michael and Matthew Salgado, two sisters Julia Luna and Cathy Blankenbeker, and four brothers David, Mitch, Fred, and Joe Salgado.
