It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara G. Snyder of Corona, announces her sudden passing on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the age of 82. Barbara passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born in Maui, Hawaii in 1941 to Alfred and Helen Boteilho. As a teenager her family migrated to the Mainland, where she attended Santa Ana High School. She then met the love of her life Bob Snyder and soon married. They started their family in Orange County and eventually moved to Corona, California (El Cerrito) in 1966; where they raised five loving children. Barbara had a love for animals, including horses, peacocks, dogs to name a few.
Barbara worked as a nurse’s aide at Corona Gables in the 1980’s, helped run the family business Snyder Electric, and spent 30 years selling AVON until she retired. Her most important role was being a mother to her five children. In recent years after the loss of her husband, Barbara enjoyed weekly sleepovers with each of her children. Spending time with the grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grand-dogs brought her immense joy.
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Robert Snyder (Maridee), Leeza Villagomez (Humberto), Brenden Archuleta (Chris), Barbie Snyder, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Snyder and son, Larry Snyder.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Corona, CA. and a brief service at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. A reception will follow.
