Barbara Jane Area

Barbara Jane Area passed away on Saturday, 3 February, 2018, surrounded by her family and friends, after a 2 year battle against cancer. Barbara was born on 28 October, 1945 in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Inglewood High School in 1963. Moving to Corona in 1973, Barbara was active in the community and loved spending time with her friends and family at the Elks lodge, and the Corona Boat and Ski Club, and was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her friends and family will always remember her as funny, artistic, with a tremendous amount of love. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Brad, and their two sons Robert, and James, and her 7 grandchildren, Renee, Zachary, Brenden, Madison, Jackson, Preston, and Tristan; and her sister Betsy, and brother John. A memorial service will be held at the Corona Elks Lodge, on Thursday, February 8 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Elks National Foundation.
