Ben W. Erickson

Ben Waldemar Erickson, 86, born Sep 16, 1929, passed away May 29, 2016 in his sleep at his Brookdale Magnolia residence in Corona, CA. He grew up in Eau Claire, WI and then moved to CA in 1960 where he took residences in: Long Beach (1960), Buena Park (1966), Murrieta (1998), and Corona (2013). He retired from GTE directories press in 1994 having worked in the printing industry the vast majority of his career. At the age of 24, he married Marianne, the love of his life, whom he shared 51 and years with until her passing in 2006. He was the son of Edward and Ellen, and brother to Edward, Delos, Romaine, Delores, and Loretta, all of whom preceded him in their passing. Surviving him are his son, Scott, daughter in-law, Susie, his grandchildren, Sara, Shane, and Sean and many beloved friends and relatives. Among his passions, he loved entertaining others, sharing stories and telling jokes. He was exceptional at remembering peoples names and incredibly generous with others. Music, sports, card games and word puzzles would usually catch a lot of his attention as well. Memories of him will be treasured.
