Bette Deane Kassel Fisher Stone

Bette Deane Kassel Fisher Stone, 99 years old, of Tustin, CA passed away on February 16, 2021. Bette was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 30, 1921 to Arthur Kassel and Ione Holdridge Kassel. Her father Art was a big bandleader, songwriter and musician, active from 1923 until his death in 1965. Art's band was Art Kassel and His Kassels In The Air; they were famous in the US for 45 years. Bette was raised in Chicago and she graduated from St. Xavier College in 1942 with a degree in Sociology. Bette married Arthur J. Fisher in 1945, they were married for 34 years and had 4 children together. They moved to California in 1959 and made their home in Orange, CA; where Bette lived for the rest of her life. Bette was a homemaker for 75 years, she was a sharp bridge player and could have been a professional. One of her hobbies was creating ceramic dolls and Christmas ornaments. She was married to Frederic H. Stone from 1979 until he passed in 2012. Bette was preceded in death by both parents, her brother Arthur Kassel, Jr, (baby) John Fisher. Bette leaves behind her children; A. James Fisher III (74), Cynthia Fisher Treas (72), Robin Dean Fisher (64), and grandchildren; Jared Fisher (42), Ila May Fisher (41), Brook Treas (41), Martin Fisher (32) and great-grandchildren; Dean Treas (6) and Charlotte Treas (3).
