Betty Jean Turner November 4, 1928-October 25, 2016 Betty Jean Turner, 87, of Nampa, Idaho and formerly of Corona, California, returned to our Heavenly Father while surrounded by her family on October 25, 2016. Betty was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on November 4, 1928. In 1936 her family moved to So. California, where she lived for 78 yrs. Betty grew up loving to roller skate, dance, bowl, paint, and play softball. She worked as a receptionist and secretary at Bank of America and Hughes Aircraft. She met and later married Robert “Bruce” Turner on November 26, 1947. They had six children (5 daughters and 1 son). She was a devoted wife, mother, and artist. She was co-owner of TNT Unlimited in Anaheim, CA and also was co-owner of Holloways Marina RV Park in Big Bear Lake, CA. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for over 60 years. She cherished her membership and served in many responsibilities at church. She was an avid genealogist for over 60 years and often taught classes in family research. She was very giving and welcomed many into her life. Her saying was, “pull up a piece of carpet and join us”. Betty loved her family and will be missed by them dearly. She returned to our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 as a result of a fall. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bruce, her parents Martin and Morgia, her sister Marjorie and her brother-in-law Donald, one grandchild Lisa Jane, one great grandson Clayton Neff. She is survived by her children: Teri (Reid) Robinson, Lori (James) Gunn, Vicki (Neff) Russell, Joni (Daniel) Corbin, Robert (Anne) Turner, and Nancy (Kelly) Jones. Betty has 26 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren, and 2 nephews. As her children and family, we are so grateful for the legacy that she and dad have left us. We couldnt have been more blessed. Our gratitude to all those who were a part of her life and brought her happiness daily. Our special thanks to those who have cared for her in her aging years.
