Bill Acra

Bill Acra, passed away at age 79, on April 28, 2020, in the City of San Bernardino. Bill was born on October 7, 1940, in his home in Los Angeles, California. He was the son of the late William Acra and Violet (Ross) Acra. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Acra Kimbrough, sister Jean Hackney and by his brothers, Ray Acra and Kenny Acra. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Doreen Acra of 5o years, along with his daughter, Pamela Acra-Archuleta, and his three grandchildren, Hunter Kimbrough, Caylee Kimbrough, Allison Archuleta, his sister, Mary Sexton, and by his loving nieces and nephews. Bill was a self-taught machinist, by trade, for 45 years until he was forced into retirement due to his illness. Bill enjoyed being around his family, drinking beer, fishing, spending time on his boat in Lake Havasu, hanging out in his garage, traveling, gambling, laughing, collecting tools, and listening to country music. Bill was a kind-hearted man, a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to spoil his grandchildren. Bill had the natural talent and personality to make friends no matter the situation, and his giggles were infectious to those around him. A man of true integrity, always willing to lend a helping hand. Bill was truly a great man whose impact will forever be felt by his family, his friends, and those who loved him dearly. He was a selfless man whose passing has left a hole only he can fill. His ability to love, sacrifice, provide, support, and forgive will forever be lessons to all who knew him. Bill will forever be in our hearts, but he would say "have a beer for me." The family is planning a Celebration of Life service in October 2020 when the pandemic is over.
