Calvin Coolidge Bishop

Calvin Coolidge Bishop, 91, of Yucaipa, California passed away on October 17, 2015, in Claremont, Ca. Calvin was born in Puente, Ca., on August 14, 1924. He graduated from Redlands High School in 1942. On April 26, 1943, he entered the United States Army where he served as a forward observer for the 754th Artillery Battalion. During the course of his service he earned a bronze star. Calvin was married to Mildred M. Moore on June 17, 1947. They were married for 62 years. She preceded him in death. Calvin worked as a postal carrier for the Yucaipa Post Office for 48 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, but most of all had a deep and abiding love for the Lord Jesus Christ and the Word of God. He was a gifted and capable Bible teacher. Calvin is survived by his sister, Pauline; three children, Jim (spouse Lisa), Carolyn, Stephen (spouse Linda); 10 grandchildren with spouses and 21 great-grandchildren all of whom will greatly miss his love, wisdom and godly example. The memorial service will be held at Bethel Chapel, 8045 California Avenue, Riverside, Ca. at 11:00am on November 7.
