Carol Jean Robison was born on February 23, 1944 in Medina, New York to the parents of Carl & Beaulah Hellert. She was pre-deceased by her sister Barbara Ann (Hellert) Colton in May of 1974, as well as both of her parents. Carol lived in Milville, New York in a brick house with both of her parents and sister. She went to school in a small one room school house out in the country. She never had any pets growing up because her mother did not like animals. One of her favorite past times as a child was to have picnics with her dolls and friends. She enjoyed the seasons, especially the cooler weather. Carol & her family enjoyed trips to Lake Ontario with her relatives where they would stay at the Lake houses. She remained friends over the years even at a great distance with Diane Jackling, Eleanor Strickland & Joan Frost, as well as a few others. Carol Jean went to the same high school as Gerald Robison, but was 2 years behind him. Surprisingly being a small high school, they had never met. It was not until after Jerry got out of the Air Force that he met Carol in 1965 at Grant Pollard Insurance Agency in Medina, NY where she wrote his insurance policy. One of their first dates was at the Albion Bowling Alley, which turned into a dance hall on Saturdays. Jerry asked Carol to marry him when he was working at Kodak & half way through his freshman year at Rochester Institute of Technology. Carol also began working at Kodak to help while Jerry was still in school. Carol & Gerald were married in Medina, NY on December 23, 1967. The reception followed at Carol's family's home. They would have been married 54 years this year. We are so elated that they were able to celebrate their Golden 50th together just a few years back. It is a rare & wonderful milestone to hit these days. She had her first child, a daughter, Pamela Jean on March 8th, 1971. In 1974, Jerry was offered a promotion through Kodak & the 3 of them moved to sunny California travelling across the country in the heat without an air conditioner. They first resided in Diamond Bar for 3 years. This is where she met her good friend Pat Coie. On July 24, 1975, a second daughter was born, Kimberly Ann. A larger home was now needed, so they moved to Walnut where they resided for another 3 years. During this time, a son was born, James Carl on October 30, 1978. Another move was ahead of them due to Jerry being assigned to a different territory in Woodland Hills for Kodak in 1980. This move was to Thousand Oaks. After another 3 years, Jerry was offered a promotion from Kodak and the family moved to Placentia in Orange County, California. Here they lived for 16 years. She met a few new friends at this time that she remained close with, Kathy Erskine, Carolyn Gill, and Terry Stivers name a few. It was at this location Carol had her first family pet which was a Bichon Frise named Muffin. In 1999, Corona, California became her final home for the past 22 years. Carol also worked at Menu Printers & various Allstate Insurance Agencies over the years. She worked in the insurance industry for approximately 40 years. She retired in 2018 from Allstate. She loved to travel back to New York as often as she could to visit her mother, relatives & friends. Some of her interests & hobbies were going on cruises, going to Vegas & Laughlin, travelling to New York City with friends, going to Hawaii & Alaska, Cambria, Pismo Beach, Palm Springs, driving across country a few times and many other places. She also enjoyed bowling and was in a league for a while, going to Disneyland, going shopping, attending Angel baseball games & being a season ticket holder, attending Anaheim Ducks Hockey games, going to Broadway musicals, concerts, visiting art museums and of course watching her grandchildrens school events & sporting events. Carol also enjoyed getting Starbucks and Boba Tea on occasion. Just spending family time with her husband, own kids and grandchildren was cherished & important to her. One of her very favorite past times was stopping to get Lottery tickets as some of you well know. She loved her lottery tickets! She is survived by her husband, Gerald Robison, daughter, Pamela (Robison) Stivers & son-in-law, Matthew Stivers & 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Tyer & Hailey, daughter, Kimberly (Robison) Monnette & son-in-law, Jon Monnette & 3 grandchildren, Kayla, Kyra & Jacob, and her son James Carl Robison. She was a very fun-loving, honest & kind spirited person & will be missed very dearly by many.
