Carole J. Rossilli

Carole Joanne (Rein) Rossilli a long time resident of Lakewood, CA sadly passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday August 23, 2018 at her home in Corona, CA. Born on December 19, 1937 the youngest of 10 kids in Keokuk Iowa to a small farming family father Harry Henry Rein and Florence (Ward) Rein of Lee County. Her passions in life were for all animals big and small. Growing up on a farm she would always be off riding her pony or horses. She had the most amazing green thumb as her garden of roses was something to behold. She served in the Navy as part of the Women's Army Core in Washington D.C. serving for United States Admiral John Sidney "Jack" McCain Jr father of late Arizona State Senator John McCain. While serving in Washington she met her husband Mario Rossilli in 1962 and later would raise together their three children daughter Vona Marie Rossilli of San Diego CA, son Joseph Mario Rossilli of Orange CA, and daughter Benita Lynn Rossilli-Dahlke of Corona CA. She leaves behind two sisters Florence Rein-Boyle of Bellingham WA, Emily Rein-Rose of Warsaw IL, two brothers Harry Ward Rein of Encino CA, and James Edward Rein of Geneseo IL. She will be forever in our hearts and thoughts. Services will be scheduled at a later date as her wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes scattered at sea.
