Catherine Elizabeth Hoover, lovingly known as Cathy, passed away on August 26, 2026, in Corona, California. She was born on June 25, 1975, in Southern California. Cathy will be remembered with love for the life she lived, the education she pursued with dedication, and the many family members and friends whose lives were brightened by her presence.

Cathy’s commitment to learning was a meaningful part of her life and accomplishments. She earned an Associate in Arts in 1995 and an Associate in Science in 1997 from Victor Valley College. She continued her studies at California State University, San Bernardino, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in 1998 and later her Master of Arts in Special Education in 2004. These achievements reflected her perseverance, her purpose, and the care she brought to the path she chose.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Hoover, and by her sister, Julie Hoover. She also leaves her aunt, Rhoda Sterling, and a large circle of cousins: Miranda Spiro, Ian Spiro, Oscar Spiro, Pearl Spiro, Patty Quisenberry, Heather Quisenberry, Nathan Lee, Samantha Lee, LeeAnn Lehto, Alex Lehto, Sara Quisenberry, David Quisenberry, Carolyn Casillas and Luccia Casillas,  Cathy is also lovingly remembered by her friends Deborah and Bob Roberts; by Teresa Tebeau and Debbie Enriquez, beloved sisters who were dear friends to her; by her friend and fellow warrior, Robert Perez; and by her loving neighbors, Robin and Butch. Each of them carries forward memories of Cathy with affection and gratitude.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rhodes Quisenberry and Elizabeth Quisenberry, whose memory remains part of the family story that continues through those who loved Cathy.

Cathy’s life was marked by determination, enduring relationships, and the bonds of family and friendship that surrounded her. She will be deeply missed and tenderly remembered by all who knew her.
