Catherine West

Catherine West, age 85, passed away on May 9, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Catherine was born in Mechanicsville, New York on November 8, 1929. She resided in Corona for over 50 years. Catherine was her familys matriarch, and was known for her outstanding Italian cooking, beautiful decorating, gracious entertaining, and warm hospitality. She was kind and caring and always willing to open her heart to others. Over the years, she worked for Mervyns and the Sears catalog store in Corona. She spent countless hours enjoying her children perform with the Corona High School jazz and concert bands. She was preceded in death by Frederick, her devoted husband of over 60 years. Catherine leaves behind her son Stephen and his wife Sheila, son Richard, son Louis and his wife Karen, and daughter Laurie Saunders and her husband David; grandchildren Ashley Botkin and her husband Clay, Rachel, Rebekah, Ruth Benner and her husband Jeremy, Emily Saunders, Zachary Saunders, and her great-grandson, Keegan.
