On Thursday, April 24, 2025 we lost a legend. If you’re from the Corona-Norco area, or are friends with us, you knew Chad McCarty.
Over the last 2 years, Chad has been battling cancer, quietly. He was not one to want the attention, sympathy or be center of attention. We had some real hope at the end of last year, but unfortunately, that all went away. He fought as hard as anyone could. Endless days, nights, weeks of being deathly ill, no strength at all. He fought for the people he loved, because Chad was okay with the cards he had been dealt.
Kids – let’s talk about his relationship with your kids. If you knew Chad close, he loved your kids. Kinda funny – going through a lot of pictures and Chad always turned away from the camera, except with the kids. He treated them as his own and spoiled them dearly.
If you were ever lucky enough to hand out with Chad, it most likely left you with a night full of laughs and having fun. That’s what he was about – let’s have some fun, talk some shit and throw back some cold Coors Light. Or even better, throwing a line and catching some tuna, and hitting the golf course. He was all about having fun and will be forever missed by all of us.
Too young, too full of life, but above most, one of the best humans you could ever meet. WE LOVE YOU CHAD! – Joey Wallace
