Charles A. White Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles (Chuck) A. White, Jr. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at his home in Mira Lorna, Ca. Chuck was born on May 24, 1942 in Corona, CA. to Charles White, Sr. and Martha White. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda, daughter Kristen McCormack of Las Vegas, NV., son Darren White of Corona, CA. and brother, John White of Corona, CA. He was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn White Helton and his parents. Chuck attended local schools and graduated from Corona High School in 1960. After high school he enlisted in United States Air Force and spent most of his 4 years at Travis Air Force Base in Northern California. It was while he was there that he traveled to San Jose to visit his sister at college, and met his future wife. Chuck and Linda were married on October 2, 1965 in San Leandro, Ca. and then set up residence in Corona, Ca. where they welcomed their children. Chuck was employed as a truck driver for Certified Grocers (now Unified Grocers) for 38 years, retiring in 2005. During his time in Corona he enjoyed boating at various lakes in California and beyond, then got into off-roading making our old VW into a dune buggy and getting ATVs to ride in the desert with family and friends. He had a great time enjoying these sports. He also enjoyed going to Car Shows and eventually purchased his 1956 Chevrolet Pickup which he loved to show off. After our move to Mira Loma in 2001 we enjoyed many cruises to Alaska, Mexico, New England and the Caribbean and took up camping in a fifth wheel trailer visiting parks in various locations in the Southwestern states. A memorial service will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary on Friday, May 28, at 2:00 pm. The address is 1118 East Sixth St., Corona, CA. 92879. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimers Assn. or your favorite charity. Due to Covid-19, there will be no reception following the service.
