It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Yepez Garcia announce his sudden passing on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the age of 82.Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Lydia; children: Julie (Jay), and Jeff (Gabby); grandchildren: Arie and JJ.; brother, Bobby, Eddie (Shirley), Jimmy (Esther) as well as numerous relatives and friends.He was predeceased by her sister (Terry), sister-in-law (Patricia), and his parents: (Charles Garcia, Senior, and Frances).He worked for the State of California, Department of Corrections, and retired as a Chief of Plant Operations for the California Rehabilitation Center in Norco. He was born and raised in Riverside, California, and lived his married life in the city of Corona, California. He was a devoted husband and proud father and grandfather. He lived life to the fullest, finding joy in music, dancing, fishing, movies, and good food. With a twinkle in his eye, he was always ready to share a funny story and laugh with those around him. His bright smile and warm spirit will be deeply missed.A Viewing will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 4:00- 6:00 p.m., at Corona Chapel, 1118 E 6th St at Corona, CA 92979.A Rosary will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 6:00- 6:45 p.m., at Corona Chapel, 1118 E 6th St at Corona, CA 92979.A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 11:00am- 12:00 p.m., at St. Mary Magdalene Roman Catholic Church, 8540 Weirick Road, Corona, CA 92883.A Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 1:30-2:30pm., at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery, 1125 Rimpau Avenue, Corona, CA 92879.
