Christopher Joseph Basquez

Christopher Joseph Basquez passed away peacefully surrounded by beloved family Oct 18th, 2018, after a dignified and courageous five year battle with Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor. Christopher was born August 29th, 1978 in Fountain Valley Ca. Chris was extremely proud to be a father and most happy when he was spending time with family. He thoroughly enjoyed staying busy and especially loved to travel. He is survived by his wife Bree Lundy and children Annalisa, Cole, and Raiyen Basquez , his father Larry Basquez , sister Melissa Basquez , brother Jacob Basquez , sister Skye Basquez, and brother Trevor Basquez. In Laws Frank & Susan Moya, Brother in Law Kerry Moya and Sister in Law Julaine Hensley. He is also survived by his Tia's Lorena Fernandez, Lindell Funes, Juanita Guzman & Tio Gary Basquez plus multiple cousins. Especially his Tia Joanne Guzman of Eastvale and cousins Wendy and Tim Calzada with whom he had very close relations. The family gives thanks to Dr. Michael Heinrich and his GIST team from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland Oregon, as well as GIST Support International. Efficient research, advocacy, treatment, diligence, perseverance, and support were the backbone of Chris' 5 year survival with Stage IV inoperable cancer.
