Clarence Altenburger, 93 of Corona, passed peacefully on July 31, 2017 with his family by his bedside. Clarence was born in Iowa, was as a farmers son, hard worker with 4 sisters Barbara, Margaret, Maxine, and Louise. Went into the service at a young age, where he stormed the beach at Normandie, fought under General Patton at battle of the bulge and earned several metals. He married his high school sweetheart Betty and started his career in California, working as a mechanic and earned enough to start his own business which was Hamner Towing. A loving father figure to many. He loved to camp, ride dirt bikes and sand rails, hunt, and waterski. One of his biggest thrills was to teach all the kids how to water ski. Bud and Betty would also do volunteer work for various charities and churches. He was always there to help anyone in need. He showed his love through his actions, not his words. He is survived by a host of family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
