Clarence “Leroy” Fleming

August 21, 1939 — November 7, 2020

Clarence LeRoy Fleming was born on August 21, 1939 in Afton, Iowa to the late William Donald Fleming and Virgie “Dee” Jeter Fleming. He was the oldest of 7 children, Jerry (Sandra), Alice (Bob) Alan, Lana (Ron), Phil ( Billie) & Phyllis. LeRoy graduated from Afton High School in 1957. He worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation and attended a training program at Iowa State University. He moved to California in 1962 working as a lunch truck driver at Orange County Food Service. He met his wife Sylvia during the summer of 1963. They became engaged soon after and were married in August of 1964. Once married they settled in Corona, and had their first child Deanna in the fall of 1965. Their second child Robert followed in April of 1968. In 1974 LeRoy and Sylvia purchased the Park N' Eat Drive In from Sylvia's mother, Anna Ensley and had their third child Jennifer. In 1984 after outgrowing their 6th Street location they moved to a larger location on Industrial Way in Corona. His business soon grew to over 65 lunch trucks. LeRoy was a well-known businessman and respected fundraiser for many organizations within the City of Corona. He dedicated his life to helping the community, but his two favorites were the Corona Elks and Corona Host Lions. He is survived by his beautiful, loving wife Sylvia, who together owned and operated Park N' Eat Industrial Catering for 39 years in the City of Corona. LeRoy and Sylvia were fortunate to be able to travel the world together with many friends. LeRoy was a loving father to Deanna (Dean), Robert (Rebecca), Jennifer (Eric), six grandchildren Zoe, Brittaney, Michael, Ashton, Denzel & Derek and one great-grandchild, Teagan. It is with deep sadness that we mark the end of this amazing life, he who gave so much of himself to his family, friends, and community.
