Clifford Theodore (Ted) Seiter, IV October 12, 1951 to January 2, 2021 Clifford Theodore Seiter IV was born on October 12, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Clifford Theodore Seiter III and Elrose Ann Dufour-Seiter. Teddy boy, as his parents called him, had one sister, Deborah Rose Seiter and one brother, Kurt Van Seiter. He grew up around the Houston area and loved building go-karts, riding motorcycles and eventually fast cars. Ted was an entrepreneur by the age of 12, with his own lawn service as well as whatever it took to earn his own money. After graduating from Humble High School in1969, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he spent four years serving his country in places such as the Philippines before being honorably discharged in 1973. After the military, Ted worked at several different companies before getting a job with Arco Pipeline and moving to California. In the early 80s, he married his first wife, Carol, and their daughter, Christina, was born in 1983. However, the marriage ended in divorce, and Ted moved to Long Beach where he eventually met his second wife, Janee, a divorced mother of two daughters, Lindsay and Lacie. In 1991, after dating for about a year, Ted and Janee married and relocated to Riverside where they gave birth to their son Landon and lived for the next 30 years. Ted was still employed by ARCO, which eventually became Marathan Petroleum, where he worked as a Senior Systems Pipeline Controller until his death. Ted was a hard worker and a good provider, but the family still had their share of struggles. In spite of those struggles, they attended church every Sunday, went on many family vacations, and had lots of family gatherings. In 1995, Ted and Janee welcomed their grandson, Chance, who was the first of 14 grandchildren, along with Dustin, Christian, Dylan, Chrystianna, Drew, Cruz, Kaitlyn, Meghan, Chase, Elachai, Ivy, Sage and Violet, (three of whom they eventually adopted) as well as four great-grandchildren, Hudson, Beckett, Luna and Persephone. In his spare time, Ted tinkered around the house a lot, cooked and barbequed as much as possible, and enjoyed trips to the wineries. He loved country music and country concerts, and he and Janee attended quite a few. Ted also liked to golf but was forced to stop playing after he injured his shoulder falling off a wall. He loved traveling and road trips, and he particularly loved Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Ted liked the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Angels, as well as USC and Nascar along with any sport his kids were involved in. He worked hard at his job as well as his home because that is the kind of man he was. Ted loved God, his family, his friends and his corvette, in that order, and he would always help anyone in need. He was generous with his money and his time, and he was extremely dedicated to those he loved. Ted usually lived life on his own terms prior to meeting his maker on January 2nd, 2021. He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents, his parents, Clifford Theodore Seiter III and Elrose Ann Seiter-Smikel, his brother, Kurt Van Seiter, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife, Janee Darlene Seiter, his sister, Deborah Rose Lord, his daughters Lindsay Nicole Murphy (husband Shane), Lacie Dawn Macias and Christina Joy Thompson (husband Eric), as well as his son, Landon Colby Seiter, his grandchildren, Chance Purvis-Seiter (aka son), Dustin Ringdahl (wife Kim), Christian Lopez (Krista), Dylan Ringdahl, Chrystianna Seiter (aka daughter), Drew Ringdahl, Cruz Meines, Kaitlyn Meeter-Locke (husband Tyler), Meghan Meeter, Chase Seiter (aka son), Elachai Macias, Ivy Murphy, Sage Murphy, and Violet Murphy, along with his greatchildren, Hudson Ringdahl, Beckett Ringdahl, Luna Locke and Persephone Lopez, in addition to his niece, Rachel Lord and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
