Clyda Mae Clark

Clyda Mae Guess was born on April 7, 1935 in Stillwell, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully on October 27, 2018 in Corona, California. She grew up in Chester, California, a small town in the Sierra mountains. After graduating Chester High School, Clyda attended Chico State University, then married her high school sweetheart Max Clark on June 5, 1954, and they began an adventure of a lifetime. Clyda was a creative and accomplished homemaker, supportive wife to Max throughout his career, which included 32 moves within six states, all while raising three daughters. She loved to cook, bake, host dinner parties, nurture her garden and excelled in the sewing arts - she made most of the girls' school clothes, Barbie clothes, and even matching outfits for herself and Max! She quilted, crocheted and embroidered many heirloom pieces during her lifetime. Clyda's artistic talents also included intricate ceramic and tole painting. Clyda loved to travel - throughout the U.S. and to 27 countries around the world! And Clyda dearly loved her church family, using her God given gifts to serve those around her, as well as the less fortunate. Most of all, Clyda loved her family and especially doted on the grands. She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn, Linda, and Brenda; sons-in-love Jeff and Rick; grandchildren Jennifer & Vinoj, Damon & Alicia, Lauren, Andrew, Aaron, Breanna, and Kyle; and great-grandchildren, Jinu, Asha, Anitha and Tucker.
