Mrs. Curlie Mae Brown was born on November 30, 1943 in Ada, Oklahoma to the late Agustus Brown and Marjorie J. Brown. She departed this life on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in the comfort of her home in Corona California. Curlie met Emmett E. Cook at a tender age of 12. She graduated from Ada High School in 1962. On June 14, 1964 she united into holy matrimony and became the wife of Emmett E. Cook. Through this union they were blessed with three children; Sherry L. Cook, Connie M. Cook and (Sonny) Emmett E. Cook Jr. Curlie was preceded in death by her daughter Connie. M Cook on October 15h, 2008. Curlie was a strong woman. Through good and bad times she managed to keep her household running. She was an exceptional protector, dedicated Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Godmother and Sister. She also loved to cook and bake. As her children grew up she went on to work at Hartwell Corporation in which she retired from. Curlie would often state that she worked hard and earned everything in her home. Curlie could light up a room with her beautiful smile and beautiful brown eyes. She had a contagious laugh and taught all her children trust is everything and caring for someone is an honor. Curlie leaves to cherish loving memories to her (Husband) Emmett Cook, (Daughter) Sherry Ortega and (Son-in law) Phillip Ortega, (Son), Emmett E. Cook Jr. (Daughter in- law) Anne Maria Cook. (Son-in-law) Michael McNeil (God Daughter) Vicky Chhour and (husband) Ken Chhour, (Grandchildren) Velvet (Crystal) Cook , Paulden Cook , Gabriel Cook , Noah Cook Rodarte ,Phillip (Ilan) Ortega Aysia K. Ortega , Kayla Cook , Daya McNeil, Hayden Cook, Shannon Fu, Abegail Fu and Zoe Fu (Sister) Karen Clark and (Bonus Siblings) Doris Clark, Patricia Clark and Leonard Clark and a six Great -Grandchildren host of Nieces and Nephews and other Relatives and Friends.
