Dana Lloyd Higgins

On Monday, December 20th, Dana Lloyd Higgins of 63 years was called home to his Heavenly Father. He is remembered as an incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Dana spent his childhood in Pasadena, California where he was usually found either working on his car, or surfing. His zeal for action sports continued through his life where he would continue to participate in anything fast. He raced ATC's where he was sponsored by Honda. He enjoyed dirt track cars and finally the Nascar Super Trucks series. He loved water sports like slalom skiing, wakesurfing and wakeboarding. He also enjoyed piloting small planes, hang gliding, paragliding and all kinds of motorcycles. Cycling with his wife was a favorite pastime, mile after mile, side-by-side with his love. His desire to serve and know people blessed many lives. If he wasn't at home, check the neighbors, he loved to talk. Visiting children out of state? Still, check the neighbors, as his service knew no boundaries. Dana attended college in Rexburg Idaho at Rick's College. This proved to be the best decision he made in life, as that is where he found the absolute love of his life, Gaylene Robison. They were married June 30th, 1977 in the Mesa Arizona Temple and spent the majority of their lives in Corona, California. Dana and Gaylene are the parents of 4 children, Becky (Aaron), Chelsey (Ryan), Jordan (Katie) and Kailey (Derek). Dana considered their children and grandchildren to be their greatest accomplishment. His love for God and family transcended all else. Dana and his brothers ran a successful commercial laundry equipment business where he was able to leverage his natural ability to sell and service equipment.
