Daniel Gailey Moss

January 5, 1931 — September 17, 2015

Daniel G. Moss, a 51 year resident of Corona, passed away on September 17, 2015 in Yorba Linda, CA after a long struggle with Alzheimers disease. He was 84. Dan was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on January 5, 1931 to Daniel E. and Helen Moss. He had three siblings, Roger, Jerome, and Mary Ann. The family moved to California in 1944, eventually settling in the city of Lakewood. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He spoke often of his experience in the military and how proud he was of his country. Upon his discharge, he returned to Lakewood where he met his wife Billie while working at North American Aviation in Downey. They were married 55 years and had two children. Dan graduated from California State University Long Beach with a BS in Accounting, and after 32 years of service retired from Rockwell International as a Senior Manager of Program Planning and Control. He enjoyed traveling, reading, golf, his California Angels, and trips to various casinos. Predeceased by his wife and son, Kevin, he is survived by his daughter Kellie, her husband Steve, grandchildren Andrew, Hayley and Melissa, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and brother in laws. Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on October 2, 2015 at 10:45. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Association is greatly appreciated.
