Daryl Swick, a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, in Orange, California, at the age of 84.

Born on January 16, 1941, in Texas, Daryl lived a life marked by service, dedication, and deep love for family and friends. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965, and in 1967, he married the love of his life, Judy. Their marriage spanned 50 years until Judy’s passing in December 2017.

In 1974, Daryl began a distinguished career with the Department of Corrections, where he worked tirelessly for 22 years before retiring. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family. Daryl made it a priority to provide memorable summer vacations, including several cross-country RV adventures that became cherished family traditions.

An avid outdoorsman, Daryl found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. He was also a passionate Los Angeles Dodgers fan, rarely missing a game on television. In his later years, he treasured regular breakfasts and lunches with lifelong friends from school and his career—moments filled with laughter, stories, and camaraderie.

Above all, Daryl was a family man. He is survived by his son, David, and daughter, Marce (Arthur), as well as seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.

Daryl’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
