Dave Hollingworth

September 15, 1960 — April 29, 2018

Lawrence David (Dave) Hollingworth, 57, died unexpectedly in Hemet, California on Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was born September 15, 1960 in San Bernardino, California. He lived life fully and gave back with his love, time and humor. He was a bear of man who will be greatly missed. Dave is survived by his children, daughter Valerie Hollingworth and son-in-law David, son David Hollingworth and daughter-in-law Katie, and daughter Brooke Hollingworth. In addition, he is survived by his mother Trish Haumann and step-father Bill Haumann, step-mother Carol Hollingworth, sister Tina Greenwood (Daniel), step-siblings Shelly Osteen (Clint) and Don Miller, treasured grandchildren Raven, Finley, John-Randall, Seth and Daisy. He also leaves behind many wonderful relatives and friends. Dave is preceded in death by his father, Holly, and brother, Cliff. Dave was a master electrician for over 35 years with the IBEW Local 477. He was everyone's favorite handyman who could fix nearly anything. Within his community of Beaumont and Banning, he touched the lives of many youth by coaching and mentoring them as if they were his own. He liked life best lived on the edge, enjoyed the afternoon nap and never refused a good steak or chocolate anything. He was rock n'roll and a good talk. It was in his nature to bring a smile to every face he met. His complete pride and joy in life was seeing his children and grandchildren grow and thrive with happiness. His hopes and dreams were to fully retire, drive across the country, and fly his planes in memory of his father. He was wise and compassionate in his acceptance of all, no matter their background or walk in life. He believed that if something wasn't worth worrying about the next day or a month from now, it was not worth the worry. Dave had fun in the everyday, the hard work, and found the good in the not so good situations. He will forever be remembered for his contagious laugh, his humble ways and his love for his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 13050 Mile High Ranch Road Yucaipa, California 92399 on Friday, May 11th at 1:00pm As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to support Dave's 11 year old daughter, Brooke Hollingworth, as she navigates her way through life.
