David Avila

David Avila May 22, 1958 - October 26, 2015 David has begun his next journey the same way he lived this one, with his great big smile and famous mustache. Left with wonderful memories and the gift of his love are his wife, Hilda Ramos Avila; children Sara (Richard), Stephen and Analissa. His grandchildren Aidan and Riley will forever love their Papa. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Jesse, Ernie, Gloria, Louie, Linda and Robert, and extended family and friends. Welcoming him at the gate with joy were his parents Jesse and Rosa, sister Rita, and parents-in-law George and Hilda. David enjoyed his work as an electrician, working on cars, and playing sports. He had a great sense of humor and an eclectic taste in music. But most of all, he loved helping family and friends however he could. A great man who touched many lives, David will be forever remembered and never replaced. Services, coordinated through Thomas Miller Mortuary, will be Wednesday, November 4 at St. Mary Magdalene Church from 11-1; internment following at Crestlawn Memorial Park at 2. In lieu of flowers, donations of Home Depot gift cards will be given to Apprentice Electricians, to help with the cost of their tools.
