David M. Bedard was born on October 29, 1945 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island as the youngest son to Stella and Charles Bedard Sr.. He graduated from Tolman Senior High School in 1963, then immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force afterwards. He served for 4 years at the Selfridge Air Force Base in Michigan, and was honorably discharged in June 1967. David met Paulette while in the service and got married in June of ‘67, staying together for 18 years. In that time, they began planting their roots in Whittier, California and had their first 4 children; Julie, Patricia, Timothy, and Tammy. Later they relocated to Rowland Heights, California and had their fifth child, Jennifer.
David was an incredibly hard-worker and a life-long giver. He spent 45 years working at Pacbell/AT&T Phone Company, meeting many close friends there. Following his retirement, David spent his time volunteering for his community. Organizing medals for the 100 Mile Club, preparing meals for the less-fortunate, and being a long-time blood and platelet donor for the American Red Cross are just a few activities he took great pride in.
David passed away peacefully with his daughter Julie by his side. He is survived by his 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Although he has returned Home, he will be deeply missed by many.
