Debra Lynn Adams

Debra Lynn, “Debbie", "Deb" Adams passed away on September 15th,2018 in the comfort of her home in Corona, California at the age of 59. Debbie is survived by her husband, Thomas Jeffrey "Jeff" Adams; her daughter Jennifer Millrood, step children Alissha Benson and Nichole Adams; her siblings Sandra Bowman and Donna Adams Kimball and 4 grandchildren. Debbie was born on January 17th 1959 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Jay Albert Adams and Janet Mae Adams. She graduated from Penn Manor High School in 1976 and went on to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she graduated in 1980 with a degree in Sociology. While attending the University she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority and the cheerleading squad. In January of 1981 she moved to California. She later went on to achieve a Masters of Social Work from Long Beach State University California in 1993 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 1994. On October 16, 1994 she married Thomas Jeffrey Adams. The two met through mutual friends in their SKI club at Bear Mountain in Big Bear California. Upon realizing that Jeff's last name was Adams, Debbie felt as if fate had stepped in. Soon their initial meeting turned into a love story and in time she became an Adams once again. Debbie had many interests and talents. She was a cheerleader, baton twirler, and homecoming queen both in high school and college. She loved to go shopping with her daughter and sister. Despite not having a green thumb she enjoyed working in her garden, reading books, attending concerts, and drinking wine with family and friends while visiting different wineries. Debbie and her husband enjoyed their visits to their timeshare in Lake Tahoe where they loved relaxing amongst the beauty of the natural surroundings there. One of her favorite trips was when they traveled to Kauai. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday September 25th at Thomas Miller Mortuary 1118 E. 6th Street with a start time of 10am.
