Denise Ann Tiberi

Denise was born in Inglewood, California to Barbara and James Goodenow. She grew up in a loving family and always following around her big sister, Debbie, who absolutely adored her. From early childhood, Denise was spunky and independent. With her big heart and fun personality, she had no trouble making friends and memories wherever life took her. Denise graduated from Westminster High School in 1978. In 1997, Denise became a mother to her only child, Katie. She married Rick in 2000 and they settled down in Corona. She had an impeccable work ethic which she used to proudly serve Chaffey Joint Union High School District for twenty years. An avid bowler, she enjoyed bowling competitively in ABT tournaments, even winning a couple. She met some of her closest friends in the sport and continued to bowl in weekly leagues for much of her life. She recalled many of her favorite memories being in her happy place at the river with loved ones, or in casinos with her friends. Denise was someone everyone knew, and no one could forget. We remember her through her sass, her laugh, and most importantly, the love she shared with each of us. After being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021, Denise remained strong, brave, and determined throughout her fight with a willingness to try any treatment option provided to her. Denise passed peacefully on Sunday morning of March 20, 2022, surrounded by family and loved ones. Denise is survived by her husband, Rick, daughter, Katie, sister, Debbie, and two Labrador puppies, Millie and Tillie. The family thanks everyone for joining us in the celebration of her life.
