February 12, 1950 — April 2, 2021

Dennis Frank Horvath, 71 of Corona, CA, passed away April 2nd , 2021 at his residence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will live on in all our memories and experiences he leaves us with. He Leaves behind Pamela, his wife of 46 years; sons Casey and Jason Horvath; daughter in laws, Jen and Jeni Horvath; grandchildren, Amanda, her husband Brandon, Tyler, Lucas, Natalie, Noah, Logan, and Jackson in addition to a great grandchild (baby Mila) due in June; sister, Mary Lynn Dragieff and brother in law Paul. Lastly, he leaves behind his trusted companion "Dixie," his beloved dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rose Horvath. Dennis or "Denny" as family would often call him was born in Youngstown, Ohio on February 12th, 1950. Not far from his childhood home in Vienna, OH, Denny began to play golf at a local 9-hole course. He would go on to move to California with his family when he was 13 years old and they settled in Garden Grove, CA. Dennis continued his early love of golf and developed into a very good player, as he played for his high school team. Dennis was always a hard worker as one of his first jobs was at a local super market called "Mc Coys" while attending Cypress College. Dennis took Political Science classes and went on to earn his associates degree in Automotive Sciences. Soon after Dennis began what would be a lifetime of work in the automotive field. Married in 1975, Dennis and Pam relocated to Corona, CA. Soon after moving Dennis joined the local CDF Fire Station #15 as a volunteer, which he enjoyed immensely and was eventually hired on as a mechanic at what is now known as Hemborg Ford. In 1983, Dennis and Pam took a leap of faith and made the audacious decision to purchase Hamner Towing, a business and industry they knew nothing about. Together they would work the business into one of the most well-known and respected towing companies in all of Southern California. All the while Dennis continued to work at Hemborg Ford as he continued to earn promotions on up to Parts and Service Director. If this wasn't enough, he decided to take on Plaza II Automotive in Riverside as another business endeavor some years ago as well. He took pride in all he did, and strove for excellence at all times. Over the years, Dennis volunteered with the following service organizations… the Corona Chamber of Commerce, Corona Rotary Club, and the California Tow Truck Association. Dennis has had such an impact on so many lives. He was steady as a rock, a trusted friend, and mentor to so many. Dennis was far from all business though, he was a prankster and a jokester throughout life. One of his personal favorite pranks was telling unsuspecting friends or family that Wasabi was Avocado! He of coarse was not perfect, as no one is, but he was perfect to us, and he will be deeply missed. Rest easy Dennis as you were an amazing husband, father, grandfather, boss, and friend. Thank you for all you have done for everyone. A funeral will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary located at 1163 E. 6th St. Corona, CA on April 23rd, 2021 at 6:00pm. A private burial service will be held on April 24th in Huntington Beach, CA.
