In Loving Memory of Dennis Michael Micek

April 27, 1960 – May 21, 2026

Dennis Michael Micek, age 66, passed away at his home in Corona, California, on May 21, 2026.

Born on April 27, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana, Dennis lived a life defined by loyalty, humor, devotion, and an unwavering love for his family and country.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cori Micek; his three sons, Michael Micek of Florida, Jordan Solomon (wife: Sarah) of Utah, and Tanner Micek (wife: Elise) of Texas; and his sister, Jeri Ulrickson (husband: Bruce); and his buddy, Milo.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Micek; his mother, Connie Young; and his stepfather, James Young.

From the beginning to the end, he lived with a deep sense of responsibility, honor, and devotion to those he held closest.

A Proud Veteran and Loyal American

Dennis was a proud veteran of the United States Army. His service to his country was not just a chapter of his life—it was a defining part of who he was. He carried himself with the quiet strength, discipline, and integrity shaped by his time in uniform.

He believed in duty. He believed in standing by your word. He believed in serving something greater than yourself. Those values never left him. They showed up in the way he treated others, the way he worked, and the way he loved his family.

He was proud to be an American, and even prouder to have served his country with honor.

A Devoted Husband and Loving Partner

After his service, Dennis moved to Utah, where he met the love of his life, Cori. Their 32-year marriage became the foundation of his greatest chapter. Together, they built a life grounded in love, trust, laughter, and unwavering commitment.

Eventually, they fulfilled a shared dream and moved their family to California, where they spent the past 23 years creating a home filled with warmth, memories, and joy. No matter where life led them, Dennis always made sure his greatest priority was the same—his family and the home they built together.

He never took his role as a husband for granted. He protected it, nurtured it, and lived it fully every day.

A Father Who Led With His Heart

More than anything, Dennis was devoted to his family. To his three sons, Dennis was far more than a father. He was their best friend. He was their guide, their protector, their biggest supporter, and their constant source of strength.

He showed his love not just in words, but in presence—in showing up, in listening, in teaching, and in standing firm beside them through every season of life.

His sons were his greatest pride. He celebrated their accomplishments, encouraged their dreams, and never stopped being their safe place to land. He took great honor in his boys and the men they became, always remaining their biggest supporter. The bond they shared was built on respect, loyalty, and a love that will endure beyond this lifetime.

A Life of Joy, Humor, and Passion

Dennis lived life with energy and enthusiasm. He had a quick wit, a contagious sense of humor, and a personality that could light up any room.

He was a lifelong and passionate fan of Notre Dame football; a love he carried everywhere he went. Saturdays often revolved around cheering for the Fighting Irish—sometimes with the kind of enthusiasm that made it seem like he was part of the team, or their coach.

He also enjoyed traveling, playing pickleball, and spending time with the people he loved most. He also had a love for dancing; earning him the title of, “The Best Damn Dancer in Oceanside.” Whether on the dance floor or cheering from the couch, Dennis brought joy, laughter, and presence to every moment.

A Legacy of Love and Service

Dennis leaves behind a legacy defined by love of country and love of family. He was a man who believed in duty—both to his nation and to the people he loved most.

He will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his loyalty, and his unwavering presence in the lives of those who mattered most to him. His family was his purpose, his pride, and his greatest accomplishment.

While his passing leaves a deep and lasting absence, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace and loved in Heaven. He will be missed every single day, but his spirit will be remembered forever in the stories we tell, the laughs we share, and the love he left in our hearts. His legacy leaves behind something stronger than grief—an enduring example of what it means to love fully, serve honorably, and live with integrity.

A military service will be held in California at Riverside National Cemetery on June 23rd, 2026, at 12:30pm. A celebration of his life will be held in Indiana, and Utah. Dates and times will be announced on later date.
