Dolores Jean Ferreri, eighty-four, of Corona, California, passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2026. The family will receive guests for the viewing on Friday, June 26th, 2026, from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM in the Corona Chapel at Thomas Miller Funeral Home in Corona, California. The graveside service will be held Saturday, June 27th, 2026, from 9:00-9:30 AM at Corona Sunny Slope Cemetery, followed by the memorial service and reception at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Riverside, California, at 11:30 AM.
Dolores was born on July 20th, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, to William and Beaulah Liebich. She grew up in Itasca, Illinois. While working at an optometrist's office, she met the love of her life, Samuel Joseph Ferreri, and they were married on October 10th, 1959.
She devoted her life to her children and husband and was involved in the church, including choir and children’s ministry. She had a varied and storied career. She worked in property management and real estate. Later, she went on to become office manager for Smith International’s global headquarters in Irvine, and then shared the commute with her husband, Sam, working at TRW in the Defense Department. Next, she provided care for children in the MOPS program at Eastside Christian Church, Fullerton. Finally, she returned to her roots and worked at her son’s optometrist office in Long Beach.
She is survived by her children, Diana Young and husband Mark, Joseph Ferreri, Laura Van Dyke and husband James, Samuel Ferreri and wife Cindy, and Michael Ferreri and his wife Heather, her grandchildren AJ, Nicole, Erica, Christopher, Justin, Stephanie, Alyssa, Samantha, Anthony, Jeremiah, Benjamin, Johnathan, Brendon, Elizabeth, and Christine and great grandchildren Easton, Dominick, Jaydon, Natalie, Oliver, Aurora, Emmett, Roman, Blakelyn, Briar, and Kollins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-six years, her sisters, her grandson Matthew, and her great-granddaughter, Savana.
