Dolores Regueira, resident of Corona, CA at 95 years of age entered into eternal life on Monday, March 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mario Regueira . Her parents Gasper and Dolores Alvarez; she is survived by her children Yadirsa, Mayda Teresa, Vanessa, Waleska, Bernie and Carmen Dolores; four son in laws Cosme, Roberto, Jose an Paul; Eleven Great grandchildren Angelica, Rebecca , Vincent, Alexander, Grace, Andrew, Denise, Lilly Jonathan and Harland; and most recently her great great grand-daughter Nova. Dolores was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico on April 10, 1923. She attended and graduated from Escuela jusn Morel Campos and from Ponce High School. She pursued higher education earning a nursing degree. She worked in private practice with Dr. Carlos Felix, as well as in hospitals during WWll and years later taught nursing to young students. She later went on to Academia Puertorriquuena de Belleza to study Cosmetology graduating November 30, 1950 and set up the Mae-Sue Beauty Salon in Ponce Puerto Rico. Nevertheless, she continued her nursing career and a visitation home care nurse administering IV lines, vaccination shots and providing needed medical care to patients Dolores met her husband Mario after he went to Puerto Rico leaving his native Cuba in 1959 after Castro took power. After a short courtship Dolores and Mario married and came to the United States in0 1962 with her four eldest daughters. Their two Youngest were born in Glen Cove N.Y. After being in the US for a few years and desiring to work in nursing once again Dolores had to retake the nursing exams well as the cosmetology exam to be able to be certified to be able to practice in the US. She also studied and became certified to work in the Central Supply Sterilization Department of Corona Community and Chino Community hospitals just prior to her retirement. Dolores has spent the last seen years of her life with her daughter Vanessa and son-in-law Roberto Ponce in Riverside, CA. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother ad great great-grand mother and we will miss her forever.
