Loving wife and mother, Lola Santos lived in Corona her whole life. She was the daughter of Manuel V. Martinez and Antonia F. Martinez. She went to Kimbell School where she enjoyed her mom volunteering in her Kindergarten class. She had five sisters preceding Mary and survived by Herlinda, Carmen, Theresa, and Genevieve. She met her husband Mike Santos; they rode a Ferris wheel on their first date and fell in love. They were married for 52 years, and she is survived by her 3 children Michael, Ruben, Crystal Mejia, 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She worked at the Naval Weapons Center, Corona Products, The Corona Independent and was a loving homemaker. Lola always helped anyone in need. Her home was always open to family to support them. She had many roommates! She was the kind of person to pick up a stranger in the rain and give them a ride, she would talk to everyone she met. She touched so many lives with her generosity. She was loving, caring, kind and a great cook. She always thought of others even if she had only met them once. She wanted everyone to be safe and lookout for their soundings. She had so much knowledge that she shared to make sure we always could be happy and safe. She loved her grandchildren; taking them and picking them up from school (playing Barry White), being at their awards assemblies or shows, going to their extracurricular activities to show her support. Even as far as Las Vegas for cheer competitions! She would enjoy giving them piggyback rides and even wrote a song for them like "I want to be Free", making masa, creating their own voices for them when they were babies. She had a so much fun with them. She would always ask to have her grandchildren over and loved taking care of them, they brought her joy. She never said she could not take care of them even if she were not feeling well, she would say "They are taking care of me!" Although she was going through a lot with her health the last few years, she was a fighter and never ever complained. It was not until the last 6 months that she started to say she was getting tired, but even then, she was not complaining, she just did not do her normal routine like she use too. She will be forever missed and will be thought of always. Her passing will be a large void in all our lives. To my mom, thank you for the love, support and all the laughs. I am so proud to be your child and for you to have taught me so much. I would not be the person I became without you. I hope I can become at least half of the person you were. God bless you. My mom's last message to everyone: "I will see you when I see you." Service Thomas Miller Mortuary 1118 East Sixth Street Corona, CA 92879 (951) 737-3244 | Thursday 1/21, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
