Donald Lee Mcpherson

Donald L McPherson January 11, 1933 - August 29, 2021 We have lost the Patriarch of our family with the passing of Donald L McPherson. He was a wonderful husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, retired Firefighter and friend to many. Don was born in Los Angeles in 1933 to Harry and Laura McPherson. He lived in California his entire life. He attended school in Lynwood and Compton where he met the love of his life, Barbara Chamberlain. They were married in 1952 in Las Vegas. They had 2 sons, Michael and Marty. Don had multiple jobs before finding his calling as a Firefighter. He had a 30 career in Garden Grove, retiring as a Captain. He also was on the Disneyland Fire Department for 30 years retiring as Assistant Chief. His hobbies were bowling, golf and he liked to gamble in Las Vegas. Don was preceded in death by his wife Barbara (2013). He is survived by two sons and daughters-in law: Mike (Sue) McPherson, Marty (Laurie) McPherson, four grandchildren: Erin, Doug (Kate), Matt (Cory) and Kevin and 3 great grandchildren: Sean, Ella and Cohen.
