Dorothy Arline (Yeager) Farrell, 93, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2017, the morning of her 93rd birthday. Daughter of Elbridge Richard Yeager and Marie Ann (Vogt) Yeager, Dorothy was born on October 10, 1924, in Portland, Oregon, the third child of six siblings. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1941 and met her future husband, Paul Farrell, at a revival meeting at Montevilla Church of Christ in Portland. Paul and Dorothy were married in 1942 and had three children: Ben, Claudia, and Kenny. They moved to Texas in 1943, where Paul obtained his Masters and Doctorate degrees at TCU, and Dorothy earned her “PhT” - “Putting Hubby Through.” In 1954, they moved to Azusa, where Dorothy was a dutiful pastors wife and Paul served as the pastor at Azusa First Christian. After Paul retired early due to health issues, he and Dorothy worked at a wedding chapel in Hacienda Heights. After moving to Ontario in 1975, Dorothy retired, giving her more time to focus on spending time with family and knitting, crocheting, and tatting - making delicate lace designs. She always had a handmade cross with her to give to a new friend or acquaintance. She had a big personality and enjoyed volunteering daily at the Ontario Senior Center and singing in the choir at her longtime church, Ontario First Christian. She had a strong, true faith in Jesus Christ and is now enjoying heaven with her Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Richard, Gladys Roberts, Mary Ragsdale, and Barbara Prindel, and grandson Brady Farrell. She is survived by her sister, Louise Tatro (Portland, Oregon); son Ben (Pat) Farrell (Rapid City, SD); daughter Claudia (Kenneth) Kirsch (Eastvale); son Kenny Farrell (Phelan); Seven grandchildren in California, Ohio, and Wisconsin; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members. She loved and was loved by many. Her family is asking that remembrances in lieu of flowers be directed to her church, Ontario First Christian. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, at 11:00am, Ontario First Christian, 110 N. Vine Ave, Ontario. Service Ontario First Christian Saturday 11/4, 11:00 am
