Dorothy was welcomed to this world by Carl and Elma DeSha in 1922. She moved with her family to California many years ago. We imagine her as a spitfire her entire life, just as much as when we met her in the mid 70s. An energetic, spirited woman of many talents, she fell madly in love and married Glenn Nesheim in 1977. They had 5 great years together before she lost him to cancer. Always on the go, Dorothy traveled the world, sometimes struggling to find new places to go and providing great inspiration for others to travel. France was one of her favorites and she made annual trips there for many years. She loved Riverside and was actively involved with her church and her community with the arts, theater, and Friends of The Mission Inn. She never missed an opportunity to show off Riverside to her family and friends. Dorothy was a successful businesswoman and loved to entertain. Her home was a special place, always decorated for the holidays, but especially at Christmas. She hosted many, many parties and loved to celebrate with champagne. As life gained on her, dementia took its toll and after a long battle, finally won on January 13. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Uncle Roy, and her husband and love, Glenn. She is survived by her stepsons Ray (Lou Anne) and Stan (Marcia); her grandchildren, Russell and Melissa; and 3 great grandchildren.
