Dorothy Marie Nowak

Dorothy Marie Nowak Dorothy M. Nowak, 85 died unexpectedly on September 15, 2021, at her home in Riverside. She was born November 16, 1935, in Chicago, the daughter of Peter and Eunice (Ensley) Frigo. Dorothy married Joseph Kapturkiewicz on January 20, 1956, and had nine children. In 1970, they moved to Riverside, California. they divorced in 1972. From the early 1970s, Dorothy lived with Charles Nowak. They married on November 18, 1996, and remained in Riverside where Charles died on October 30, 2005. Dorothy was involved in PTA (Alvord Unified School District), sports, and other school activities. She worked multiple jobs including the 1980 Census, volunteered for the Riverside United Way office, was involved with St. Thomas Church Bingo, and was a member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post 9223. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Jeanette, Catherine & Joanne, and brother, Peter. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Ann, and son Raymond Andrew. She is survived by Michael Kapturkiewicz, Steven (& Debora) Kapturkiewicz, Roseann (& Robert) Ruffini, Paul (& Annette) Kapturkiewicz, Mary (& Shawn) Goldsmith, Susan (& Michael) Hall and Charley (& Jodi)Kapturkiewicz. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
