Dorothy Ann (Hackett) Piering Passed away at home, Saturday, October 11, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 24, 1936 in Granite, Oklahoma; to Louise and Hack Hackett. Dorothy lived in the Corona/Norco area most of her life. In 1965 Dorothy and family moved back to Corona, where they owned and operated Corona “Q” Family Billiards. She worked for 32 years as the Business Manager for Swaney Chevrolet, Diller Chevrolet and Corona Chevrolet. She is survived by Ron Piering her husband of 60 years; her daughter and son-in-law, Sunni and Burt Doster; her “son” Mitchell Spangler and his wife Mary and family all from Corona; her sister-in-law, Margie Piering and close cousin, Ted Steiger and his wife April; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special mention to her pets, Duke, Daisy and Shorty who kept her very busy. Dorothy loved taking vacations with her childhood friends. She also enjoyed gambling, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Most importantly were her family and friends. She will be missed by many. Our family would like to give a special thanks to Corona Regional Hospice and to “our” caregiver Debbie Foust, for their help and kindness. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Corona Regional Hospice or a charity of your choice. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 15th at 1:00 PM at Thomas Miller Mortuary 1118 E.
