Edward Roman Armijo, 73 of Corona, passed away November 23, 2022. Ed was born on June 25, 1949, to Edward T. Armijo and Alice G. Armijo in Los Angeles. Ed was raised in Bellflower, California. Ed attended high school at Bosco Tech in San Gabriel, California. He graduated with a BS in engineering from California State University Long Beach. Ed married his wife Janice in April 1972 and was married 50 years this year. Ed worked as a plant manager for Norris Industries in Vernon, California for 22 years where they made military hardware. After the plant closed Ed went to work for Mainland Products as a plant manager until he retired in 2007. Ed volunteered at Friends of the Corona Public Library used bookshop. Ed was named Friend of the year in 2010. Ed also volunteered to do pickups weekly for the Settlement house and homeless shelter in Corona. He fought a good fight against cancer for almost 16 years. Ed was known as special Ed to his doctors and nurses at Kaiser. Ed was a kind and gentle soul, amazing husband and a great dad and grandfather. Ed liked being with family camping, boating and going on many cruises. Ed's favorite pastime was watching the LA Dodgers, Notre Dame football, and NASCAR. Ed was predeceased by his parents Edward and Alice Armijo and brother Christopher Armijo. Ed is survived by his wife Janice Kathryn Armijo, his children Christopher Edward Armijo (Erika), Catherine Ann Salce (John), and Craig Duane Armijo (Chadd), his grandchildren Roman, Julian, Adrian Armijo and Vincent & Anthony Salce; siblings Arthur Armijo (Kathy), Diane Boenzi (Mario), James Armijo (Michelle) & Ann Guevara as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Edwards honor.
